The HiSET® exam is one of the three State-Board authorized high school equivalency tests, and so, is equivalent to a high school diploma in order to obtain education or employment. Built on the OCTAE College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education, the HiSET® exam gives adults the best opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge and earn a state-issued high school equivalency (HSE) credential. The total test time is 7 hours and 5 minutes for English and 7 hours and 20 minutes for Spanish. With the HiSET exam, you have the flexibility to create an appointment schedule that is right for you.
